AAQI Quilt Sold

Another one of my little Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative quilts has just sold.  I'm so happy that my cousin Rob (Bobby) was able to purchase it before anyone else. This quilt was dedicated to his mom who fought early onset Alzheimer's Disease.  She was breaking the glass ceiling in the business world before most women knew there was a glass ceiling.  What a lady and role model for me.

If you are a quilter, please consider getting involved in this very worthwhile cause.  If you just like quilts, consider purchasing from AAQI.  They even sell gift certificates.  Profits go toward Alzheimer's research.

  1. Oh, Shirlee...this is a darling little quilt! I just sold one of mine to the sister of a friend's whose husband battled end of life dementia. I had used his ties to frame a little quilt.

It meant the world to me that a family member purchased the quilt, contributed to this wonderful cause, AND now has this quilt!

My heart understands and goes out to you through all you have experienced from this journey. I'm just so happy we now have a way of contributing to a cause that is doing so much for funding research on Alzheimer's!

And whatever kind of quilter you "will grow up to be" it'll be just as wonderful as you obviously are now!!!
